Transportation Specialist

Who You Are:

You’re customer service focused and comfortable working in a high growth environment at an early stage well-funded startup. Our team is small but growing, so your role matters to us and will offer significant autonomy and growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Shasta:
    Dispatch orders to broker(s)/transportation partners
    Work directly with carriers to drive down costs
    Manage transport of inventory from auction to recon
    Manage transport of inventory from recon to Fair lot
    Logging/tracking of assets on PL
    Determine delivery hubs based on space & locationn needs
    Communication with vendor/internal teams

  • Core:
    Dispatch orders to broker(s)/transportation partners
    Process transport for all returns (AutoIMS, Toolbox)
    Coordinate all deliveries
    Approve payment from vendor for transport over 100 miles
    Communicate with dealerships and internal teams for specific handling/delivery requests
    Logging/tracking of assets

What You’ll Need:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable to process and system changes
  • Detail oriented with ability to make good judgements and solve problems
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to make a high volume of outbound calls 

Bonus Points

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics Management or similar field
  • Transportation or general automotive experience is a plus
  • Wholesale Auto Auction experience or exposure is a plus
  • Experience with Auction tools like AutoIMS is a plus
